Kwang Tung Dance Company (KTDC) has been consistently supporting and promoting the dance performing arts over the years. The series of special dance programs entitled “Kua Bu” organized by KTDC provide a distinct platform for dedicated young generation of dancers to showcase their talents and capabilities.
Initially all dance pieces in “Kua Bu” were choreographed by experienced choreographers and performed by young dancers. But since its 6th edition onwards, young dancers began to take full responsibility in overall project management and to have total artistic direction over the program. This transformation has genuinely embraced the connotation of “Kua Bu” which literally means progress or advance.
And after four years of waiting, KTDC has finally unveiled the 8th edition of “Kua Bu” in 2011 accompanied by the theme of “Wandering Within”. This latest edition of “Kua Bu” will once again present the maturing choreography works from the company’s very best young talents.
